FAQ and house rules
Is the pool heated?
No. The pool is unheated. From November through February the water can be too cold for swimming, though the deck and lanai are pleasant year round. Pool heating is something we are evaluating.
How many people can stay?
Up to 10 guests, including children and infants. This is the maximum allowed under the Pinellas County short-term rental ordinance and cannot be exceeded.
Where do we park?
On the driveway, which fits 4 vehicles. Please do not park on the street or the lawn. Boats, trailers and RVs cannot be parked at the property.
What are the quiet hours?
10 p.m. to 9 a.m., as required by the county. Please keep music and pool noise low during those hours; we have close neighbors and a noise monitoring device (it measures volume only, never records audio).
Are parties or events allowed?
No. The house is for the registered guests only. Visitors during the day are welcome as long as the total number of people on the property stays within the occupancy limit.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome. Tell us in your booking request how many and what kind, and keep them off the beds and out of the pool.
Is smoking allowed?
No smoking or vaping anywhere inside. Outside is fine, away from open doors; please use the ashtray on the lanai.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 3:00 p.m., check-out by 10:00 a.m.. You will get a personal door code before arrival, so you can let yourself in.
Are there cameras?
Yes, three exterior cameras: a video doorbell, one over the garage and one at the front corner of the house. They cover the driveway and entrance only. There are no cameras inside or facing the pool.
Pool safety
Every door to the pool has an alarm that sounds when it opens, and the enclosure gate stays latched. Children must be supervised at all times; there is no lifeguard.
How far is the beach?
About 15 minutes by car to Clearwater Beach. Tampa International Airport is about 40 minutes.
What is the minimum stay?
2 nights. Weekly and monthly discounts are available in the low season.
